1) Experience
Nothing beats experience when it comes to property management. In property management each day can bring a range of different situations and unexpected challenges. That’s what makes the job so addictive — the excitement. Most of the time intelligence and common sense will get you through but in those unique once a year occurrences then experience is what counts.
2) Strong communication SKILLS
A great property manager will have exceptional written and oral communication skills. They will be able to communicate to owners and tenants what’s happening at a property at any given time. Clear, and concise communication will minimise disputes and keep both owners and tenants happy.
3) HIGHLY OrganisED
Property management is a set of complex processes and procedures. A property manager will be simultaneously marketing a property, managing inspections , and planning maintenance & repairs and much more. They need to have good systems and exceptional organisational skills.
4) Knowledgeable about real estate investment
Investors want to know that their properties are being managed by people who understand the intricacies of investing in property.
