Kaumātua Flats

The Kaumātua Flats are provided as permanent accommodation for kaumātua in Ōtepōti. This enables those kaumātua to provide a korowai of manaakitanga and tīkanga to the iwi of the marae and manuhiri.

The renovation and upgrading of these flats have occurred over the past 36 months and were formally opened and blessed by Matua Edward Ellison (Ōtākou, Kai Tahu) on the 24th of February 2024.
